Cavalli Beach House enjoys a reputation amongst Bay of Islands luxury accommodation providers as one of very few 'absolute beachfront' retreats.

The breathtaking location and innovative architecture are as unique as they are alluring. Situated in the pristine sub-tropical Northern region of the country, the architectural process concentrated on examining the links between the environment and the design, bringing the two together in a meaningful way, and resulted in this magnificent 21st century property which reflects and assimilates with the spectacular environment in which it resides - the beach, the islands and the ocean.

Like other eco resorts, awareness is one of the essential concepts they like to promote as a way of life, and respecting the fragile connections we all have in nature meant designing a unique Bay of Islands resort which was sensitive to the environment. The grounds have been landscaped with native plants to attract bird life and encase the beach house, along with sub tropical vegetation admired for the colourful flowers and scents.

Cavalli have a bio-cycle system in place, with ongoing recycling and composting projects, and their own potager organic garden and worm farm. They are currently working towards being Carbon Neutral accredited, with water being gathered from rain, which is then filtered to the highest degree and deliciously drinkable, and using solar panels to heat water for bathing.

The guest wing offers luxury accommodation in only three double en-suite bedrooms featuring king-size beds and luxurious furniture and fittings. Generous en-suites have been designed so that you can 'see the sea' as you shower, and only natural, locally made bio-degradable toiletries are on offer. With access to the bay and beach a twenty metre stroll from your room, you can hear the sound of the waves on the pebble beach as you fall asleep.
